[Gal 5:22-23] NIV
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
We live in a fast paced world where technology has developed so much that a lot of processes can now be done faster. The downside of this advancement is that man has now been psychologically programmed to also want things done faster and in the process cultivated a lifestyle of being impatient.
Patience is defined as the capacity to accept or tolerate delay, problems, or suffering without becoming annoyed or anxious.
Patience is an attitude, impatience is also an attitude. Patience is not just about waiting until something is accomplished, rather it is the attitude you maintain while waiting for the thing to be accomplished.
Sometimes people wait for things to get done but they complain while waiting. Their murmurings and complains is a display of impatience. They are waiting but wished they didn’t have to wait.
Patience is a virtue which a lot of people lack in this day and time. A Christian must have and maintain the right attitude in every situation. Maintaining the right attitude puts you in a position to see and enjoy God’s best for you.
Remember, patience is one of the fruits of the spirit that is given to every Christian. So you have the ability to be patient.
Stay blessed.
