You Can Become Anything in Life

Growing up as a young boy, I desired to become a motivational speaker. I kept envisioning myself speaking to thousands of people. Because of this drive, I consumed the materials of some exceptional speakers and authors because I wanted to become like them in the future. The message that kept coming to mind having consumed these materials was that I could become anything I want to become in lifeif you can dream it, you can be it.

Along the path, God began to help me modify this desire into something much bigger and better. It was like a paradigm shift took place, from a young boy desiring to become a motivational speaker to a young man making a difference through the gospel.

Then I began seeing things from God’s perspective, His viewpoint, and no longer mine. I realized then that I can’t become anything I want to become in life. As motivating as this may sound to your hearing, it’s more misleading than you could imagine. God didn’t create you so that you can become anything you want to become in life, He created you for a specific purpose! People who think that they can become anything that they want to become in life are likely to walk out of God’s plan and purpose for their lives.

The day you come into Christ (born again), you cease to become anything you want to become in life. All the ambitions, desires, and plans you once had, all passed away. It is no longer your desires, plans, or ambitions that you are to pursue but His. You ceased living for yourself but for Him. You were not created to do your own will but His will.

Heb. 10:7 “Then I said, ‘here I am – it is written about me in the scroll- I have come to do your will, O God”. Just as it is spoken of Jesus here, it is the same for us also. It was written of Jesus of all that should/would happen as He journeyed through the face of the earth, so also, God’s plan for you and me has been mapped out which is to do His will.

Quit telling people they can become anything that they want to become in life and tell them they can become all that God wants them to become. Doing this takes the focus and attention off themselves and places it on Him. This is what God wants for you and me.

And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again. 2 Cor. 5:15

For none of us lives to himself alone and none of us dies to himself alone. If we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord. Rom. 14:7-8

I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. Gal. 2:20

People who can become anything that they want to become in life are those who don’t have a sense of God’s plan and purpose for their life. I refuse to become anything I want to become in life. I become that which God wants me to become in life.

    This !!! Amazingly put together

God’s purpose for lives is the sole aim of our existence, therefore all we do must align to that purpose !
